Forum ranks I believe. Not quite sure. I know that the admin has the ability to alter them.

You get forum admin and change the color of your stars, unfortunately you find out that by doing so you have been reset to ensign and can no longer raise your stars regardless of posts. :

I wish People in our server would play somehting besides AIM maps. :'(
