Topic: Corrupt a Wish...

Well, since it's so much fun n the GoRC forums, I figured I'd give it a shot here. Let's play a game of 'Corrupt a wish.' Rules are very simple: You reply with a corruption of the wish above you (something to make it backfire, or just something bad) and you then include your wish below that. Wishes can be anything. So, I'll start off.

I wish I wasn't so damned soar from camping, and splitting wood.

This kind of a post is why I wanted an off-topic forum. This way we can have this forum be specific to Precursors (e.g., ideas for the game, discussion of features, etc.) without it getting overloaded by off-topic stuff.

I wish I had a job that paid more.

You get a job that pays more, however, you develope a crush on your supervisor. You obsess over him so much, that I grow disgusted, and leave you. Finally, you get the courage up to asking him out, only to find out that 'he' is really a 'she'. (Don't you just love gender neutralizing uniforms?)

I wish I had and android companion to do my bidding... and my homework.

Well, your android does your homework, but the teacher realizes it's too good, flunks you, reports you for academic misconduct, and gets you kicked out of the uni.

I wish scientific computing wasn't the evil bitch of a class it's turned out to be.

I wish Chris' birthday present would get here

Tomarrow, you find it sitting on the porch. However, a neighbor's dog had grabbed it a few days ago, when it arrived, and had torn it to shreds. The Company agrees to replace it, but only *after* a long two week process that gets you very frazzled. They send the new one, and it gets here in a day, however, it's 3 sizes too small. The Company rrefuses to exchange it, and sues you for harrassment. They win.

I wish the game was further along, and there was more to do with it.

The game is much farther along and there is so much to do with it that you can't keep up. Unfortunately, that's because it's broken. So many things have gone wrong and you can't seem to fix them all no matter what you do.

I wish I had an ipod.

Your iPod comes in the mail, and looks perfectly normal except for the black and grey tubing coming out of the back and going up the earphone cord. When you put in the earphones to listen to it, it activates and assimilates you. You are now a Borg named Broomhilda.

I wish PC Accelerator was still being published.

It is, however it's digressed into a dead treee version of slashdot. Nothing new every really gets printed; it's simply a continuation of people's opinions of the opinions of people posting about articles from the late 90's. As you cry over your shattered childhood, Broomhilda busts down your door, and tries to assimilate you. Thinking quickly, you throw an Innuyasha manga at her. Distracted for a few moments by something from her past existance, you make your escape. Suddenly, Q shows up, and offers to take you to the Continum to see the universe from a higher plane of understanding. However, he ditches you on the Enterprise. Before you can explain who you are, the Borg attack, looking for you. The Enterprise is destroyed, and Q transports you back to earth. Millions of rabid Star Trek fanboys blame you for the destruction of thier favorite ship, and the deaths of thier favorite crew. They eat you.

I wish I had a trained pet headcrab.

You forgot to de-beak your headcrab, and he eats Reaka's brain. She traps you in a bear hug in your sleep, and you slowly suffocate.

I wish I wasn't sick.

You get tonns of munchies to eat. However, you meet a hourse outside, and feed it some food.... before you know it, you're out of food, and the hourse is dead. A police officer informs you it was a diabetic, and you go to jail.

I wish I lived in Texas. It seems cooler than here.

Depends on where you are. Lubbock CAN be cool at times. Right now, though, it's fricking cold. Dammit.

So you move here, and realize that it's NOT cooler, and the wind and associated dust destroys your allergies (Lubbock has BIG winds), and you get bored of bowling and going to the movies and the theatre, so you go out drinking and wake up next to some just really ugly... guy. Naked. Oy. Then the community ostracizes you (Lubbock has a much more conservative atmosphere than you're probably used to - we have... what... like 5 or 6 churches right next to each other on 1 street! We also have one of the worst STD rates in the state. Hrm...), so you have to go back to New York.

But seriously, come down and visit sometime. Get to meet a lot of the GoRC H34ds, plus your top recruiter.

I wish it wasn't cold here.

It's not cold anymore. However, it is about 200 degrees so now it's way to hot and you die of heat exhaustion and dehydration.

You live in texas, but you live near the boarder and soon your house is overrun bymexican refugese. This might be cool except they all use your internet to get jobs under the table. As one of them is looking to become a porn prducer you get a virus that eats all your data on precursors.

I wish my homework was done.

Your homework is done. However, I get an e-mail from Atari asking if I would be willing to allow them to prouce Precursors... in return they will hanle all artwork, and  give my developers full paying jobs, as heads of development teams. Precursors gets done in a year, however, you never get to do any hud art. You become bitter, and leave the clan, and end up killing yourself, because of your disapointment.

I wish Reaka had posted a wish. I also wish I could visit Texas whenever I wanted to.

You visit Texas whenever you want, but you are only allowed to visit Presidio (border town, sister of Ojinaga).

I wish the freaking weather would settle down.
