Well, since it's so much fun n the GoRC forums, I figured I'd give it a shot here. Let's play a game of 'Corrupt a wish.' Rules are very simple: You reply with a corruption of the wish above you (something to make it backfire, or just something bad) and you then include your wish below that. Wishes can be anything. So, I'll start off.
I wish I wasn't so damned soar from camping, and splitting wood.

Tomarrow, you find it sitting on the porch. However, a neighbor's dog had grabbed it a few days ago, when it arrived, and had torn it to shreds. The Company agrees to replace it, but only *after* a long two week process that gets you very frazzled. They send the new one, and it gets here in a day, however, it's 3 sizes too small. The Company rrefuses to exchange it, and sues you for harrassment. They win.
I wish the game was further along, and there was more to do with it.

The game is much farther along and there is so much to do with it that you can't keep up. Unfortunately, that's because it's broken. So many things have gone wrong and you can't seem to fix them all no matter what you do.

Your iPod comes in the mail, and looks perfectly normal except for the black and grey tubing coming out of the back and going up the earphone cord. When you put in the earphones to listen to it, it activates and assimilates you. You are now a Borg named Broomhilda.

It is, however it's digressed into a dead treee version of slashdot. Nothing new every really gets printed; it's simply a continuation of people's opinions of the opinions of people posting about articles from the late 90's. As you cry over your shattered childhood, Broomhilda busts down your door, and tries to assimilate you. Thinking quickly, you throw an Innuyasha manga at her. Distracted for a few moments by something from her past existance, you make your escape. Suddenly, Q shows up, and offers to take you to the Continum to see the universe from a higher plane of understanding. However, he ditches you on the Enterprise. Before you can explain who you are, the Borg attack, looking for you. The Enterprise is destroyed, and Q transports you back to earth. Millions of rabid Star Trek fanboys blame you for the destruction of thier favorite ship, and the deaths of thier favorite crew. They eat you.

Depends on where you are. Lubbock CAN be cool at times. Right now, though, it's fricking cold. Dammit.
So you move here, and realize that it's NOT cooler, and the wind and associated dust destroys your allergies (Lubbock has BIG winds), and you get bored of bowling and going to the movies and the theatre, so you go out drinking and wake up next to some just really ugly... guy. Naked. Oy. Then the community ostracizes you (Lubbock has a much more conservative atmosphere than you're probably used to - we have... what... like 5 or 6 churches right next to each other on 1 street! We also have one of the worst STD rates in the state. Hrm...), so you have to go back to New York.
But seriously, come down and visit sometime. Get to meet a lot of the GoRC H34ds, plus your top recruiter. :D

Your homework is done. However, I get an e-mail from Atari asking if I would be willing to allow them to prouce Precursors... in return they will hanle all artwork, and give my developers full paying jobs, as heads of development teams. Precursors gets done in a year, however, you never get to do any hud art. You become bitter, and leave the clan, and end up killing yourself, because of your disapointment.
I wish Reaka had posted a wish. I also wish I could visit Texas whenever I wanted to.

I wish that this semester would be over, and I'd finally have time to relax. You have no idea how close this semester has come to finally making my mind snap. I'd prefer to hold off on enjoying that moment as the last vestige of insanity leaves me, at least till my last semester. Then I can go wild. Yay.

Anywho . . . The semester is over but you snap mentally when you discover some loophole that would have kept you from ever having to take Scientific Computing.
(Ironically, they offered to let me take Grad level courses for dual credit - 3 hours billed to both my master's credit AND my 4000 level elective credit. Good thing I won't be doing that)
I wish I could be there to see if when you snap (ready with a cattle prod and a straightjacket).

Your there, but right before he snaps, you accidentally let it be known that you are the reason that he had to take that class. After restling for about five minutes, he get you in an arm lock, ties you up, and starts snapping you, first the fingers, then the toes...until he finally gets to the neck. Nighty night Cae.
I wish I knew electrical engineering so I could just design my entire computer and then make it. 16 gig graphics, 16 gig ram, 20 gig proc... Okay, highly unreal, but you gotta admit, that would be pretty cool.

It has 100Mbit. But, it doesn't work worth shit, so it drops about 60% of the packets.
Aside 1: Thought we did have 100 Mbit at the Sovereign?
Aside 2: My roommate had to code a networking project for Systems - the prof had them drop packets on purpose to simulate packet loss. Fun.

The game becomes sucessful all your friends are involved, and become rich, and you end up becoming so depressed Dawnet goes under. Burst buys it off you, and with GNE's help, turns it into the 2nd largest webhost in the country, under the new name, "BurstNet".
I wish Dawn, Caenus, Neo, Contingency, Lolly, Whitelynx, Piece and I could just put off whatever we should be doing right now (without consiquence), and just chill in the same place. Maybe watcha movie, or play a board game, or something.

I wish the sample code (actually, more like a web page with PICTURES of the sample Mathcad code) that I got for my SciComp class actually worked. I transcribe the damned things exactly as he has them, and they work! But only for the first iteration - after that, I get radically different answers!

It works reliably, but takes 10 hours to finish calculating a single answer.

You're not psyched...you just think you are but you are reallly under high amounts of medication at the hospital because the night before you fell down, and hit your head, rendering you unconcious. You wake up and feel normal, and realized that it had to have been the meds because there is nothing to be psyched about.

You don't. You have really fricking easy classes. So easy that you think you can slack off. Then you fail them all, lose any funding (parents, scholarships, student loans, etc.), and have to flip burgers at Burger King for the rest of your natural life (plus a touch of your un-natural life - you know, like 10,000 years or so).
I wish my room wasn't such a disaster area-level of a mess.

We do, we just don't tell you about it. In fact you find out that we've completed the project, but we liked the game so much that we refuse to release it to anyone, and we're just stalling, and playing the game among our limited group of friends in Fredonia. After six months, we shut down the the forums, move, and you never hear from us again... till 2 years down the road when you see "The 7th Game: Precursors" at WalMart. Confused, you check out the website, and find that we decided to relase it and it's now making millions of dollars for us. Enraged, you try to claim that you made some of the models in it, only to have our high payed lawyers sue you for slander. We win.

The next day, you get to see the replacement teachers are plain awful. They don't grade much at all, know nothing about the subect materail, and you learn nothing. From then on, all classes you take related to those two you fail, since you never learned the base material.

This is a set of books. Doesn't matter what they say, just that they're bad - they're so bad we wouldn't dare crack them open, lest we become tainted by those bad things that they say. Further, we can't allow other people to read these books either, lest we have a bunch of people tainted by the bad things these books say all walking around and infecting other people with these bad ideas. So we ban them - we remove them from every bookstore and every library. If we see a person with the book in their hands walking down the street, we tackle them, beat the crap out of them, and take the book away - they were being harmed by being in the mere presence of that book, much less the reading of it. They might actually think about what they read, and that would be very bad.
However, it's not enough that we ban these books - the writers have to be taught a lesson. We must make a public demonstration of just how bad these books really are. So we have a good old-fashioned BOOK BURNING! We take all the copies of these books that we just took away from people, wipe the blood off of them (wonder how they got bloody anyways), and put them in a pile. We then buy as many copies of the books as we can (even though we have to go out of state to do so) and throw them into the pile. Nevermind that this is putting more money in the evil authors of these bad books - it's the point that matters. And we're making the point that these books are bad and need to be destroyed.
And what better way to destroy them than FIRE!!!! So we take our pile of books and empty a few gallons of lighter fluid and gasoline and nitroglycerin onto them. Then, we take matches and mobile incinerating devices (we can't call them cigarette lighters, because cigarettes are evil too) and light them. As you can s-- *BOOM*.
Oh, and Piece can fly. Unfortunately, he falls asleep while flying and falls to his death.

It does. Unfortunately, most people become bored with the forums and leave them. They have nothing else to do in their now copious amounts of free time, so their minds finally snap from boredom and they all become mass murderers. The cops trace this rash of killings to your killing this thread on this forum, and charge you with involuntary manslaughter (or something) in respect to all these deaths. The charge itself doesn't bring a large amount of jail time, but when you multiply it over the dozens of people that these former forumites killed, that puts you away for a VERY long time.
Remember - you gotta kill somebody your first day or become somebody's bitch. Take your pick. Never know - the bitch thing could work out; never know when you'll find that nerdy, pretty boy in jail...

Unbeknownst to you, there are customs agents undercover in the cigar store waiting for the leader of an international Cuban Cigar Smuggling Ring to come in to sell his wares. Since the only description they have of said leader is "a scrawny dork with a goatee" they instantly nab you and you are held for an indefinite amount of time in Guantanamo Bay (seems the Cuban government wants to have a word with you when our people are done). You spend almost a year being subjected to American interrogation techniques and are then handed over to Joaquin, the Cuban master of pain. The next two years blend together in a mix of nightmarish torture and aneurism induced blood clots floating across your vision. You finally manage an escape and inadvertantly assassinate Fidel Castro (who is amazingly still alive). You are recognized as an American hero, forgiven of any crimes you may have committed and returned home. You now walk with a limp and your hands tremble. You are awarded a medal of honor and, during the ceremony at the white house, your friend for whom you never purchased the cigar goes postal and shoots at you, lodging a .38 bullet in your spine. Because of this flagrant missuse of this board, I go postal, and shut EVERYTHING down, making everyone sign a legal document saying they will never work on, produce, or even draw anything remotley related to the ideas for Precursors. I promise to sue anyone using the tag GN:EF. All in all, my actioan cause a rift in GoRC, and it too collapses. Eventually, everyone finds a new clan, and their lives go on. Then, one day, you walk into Walmart, (years latter) and you see a new game thre selling for $50. "The Seventh Game: Precursors" it's called, and it reminds of something you haven't thought about in ages. Hands trembling, you purchase it, and once you're home you lock youself in the room with you computer, and open it. There infront of you is the game that I said would never be made... the one game that ripped apart much of you fun times. As you flip through the manual, you see that it's exactly how we desicussed it. You see some of the models are the same. You can't believe it. You install it, and log on with your 30-day free trial. The moment you get on, you see an admin named 'morgul'. You open the chat, and start screaming at him, saying things like, "How could you ever make this game! you closed everything down! Why didn't you tell us?!" You get banned, and three days latter, the police pick you up, and I sue you for harrasement, and violation of a contract you signed years ago, which clearly stated you'd neer have anythign to do with this game.. yet you bought it, and used it to harrass me. I win, and you loose everything.

Damn, you don't know my family. That's actually not all that random. Oh, and Dinkledorf is my invention. See that Nazi Carebear in the artwork forum? Yeah, that came out of a talk about Dinkledorf. Saying Dinkledorf is someone's maid, and having him sing annoying as hell songs is a pretty normal comment in my family. I've been making Dinkledorf comments for years. The name came from my stepdad Dave... he said he wanted to name his son Dinkledorf. About 20 minutes into the class, all the power shuts off completely. ten minutes after that, the teacher lets you leave, as the entire CITY is without power. It remains so until 6am the next day. Problem Solved! Someone (Dawn) decides to pull a practical joke, and reports you for filesharing on Tech Campus. Unknown to everyone, Tech had just decided on a new policy for dealing with filesharers. Campus Security comes to you, siezes your laptop, finds stolen CS3, 3:10 to Yuma, and a few other AVIs on there. They expell you from school, and the MPAA slaps you with a giant lawsuit, while Adobe goes after you personally. Because of these litigations, the school board at KPA decides that they can't have you on staff anymore, and fire you. This causes strife between Erin and you; while she doesn't leave you, she sees no way out of this mess. You promise her you'll fight the lawsuits, but it doesn't look good. In a fit of depression, she has a bit too much to drink, runs her car into a cement barrier on the loop, and gets hospitalized. With your wife in the hospital, and financial weights crushing down on you, you snap. It takes them three weeks to collect enough of Dawn's body for identification; and even then only because you mailed those bits to the police. Oddly enough, they catch you...

You receive the requested NES games. Your NES bursts in to flames when you insert the first of the 10 most awesome NES games ever. Your hand is badly burned and you run out of the room to get a fire extinguisher. You find the fire extinguisher and point it at the NES to put out the flames, but naught but a hiss of air and little toy snakes fly out of it. You drop it and run for the hills like a madman, as your house has now become a roaring inferno.
Out of the distance you can hear the rumble of horses' feet and the cries of a mongol horde...
