What foes are we to meet in battle that we have not vanquished in the shadows of the human soul? What Daemons scream that have not cried to us from the dark places of the mind? What fear have we of death who know there is immortality in the great and noble deeds of men?

Wasn't Atreyu the dude from Neverending Story?  I was scared to death of that movie as a kid - I took the title literally, and assumed if I started watching it, I would have to watch it forever - I must have been like 11 or 12 by the time I got around to it.

For the life of me I wouldn't know the dog/dragon's name.

As for bands, too many to list, but here are some of my favorite bands/musicians I had the pleasure of seeing live (this is far from all inclusive, but I figured it was easier to list bands that are my favorite that I have seen live rather than list all bands that have ever been up in "favorite zone"):

- Pavement
- Jane's Addiction
- George Clinton and Parliment
- B.B. King and Eric Clapton
- Sonic Youth
- Sublime
- Rage Against the Machine
- Soundgarden
- Bob Dylan
- Pearl Jam
- Rancid
- Rush
- Paige and Plant
- Red Hot Chili Peppers
- Smashing Pumpkins
- The Breeders
- The Pixies
- Yo la Tengo
- Built to Spill

probably more, but I was starting to list bands that weren't really favorites, so I will stop here.

Wind said I needed to put cool lyrics in my signature:

:calvin: What about the voice of Geddy Lee
:calvin: How did it get so high
:calvin: I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy
:hobbes: I know him and he does
:calvin: Well you're my fact checking cuz

Falcor.

And yes, Atreyu was the warrior kid on Neverending Story.
Merciful Father, I have squandered my days with plans of many things. This was not among them. But at this moment, I beg only to live the next few minutes well. For all we ought to have thought, and have not thought; all we ought to have said, and have not said; all we ought to have done, and have not done; I pray thee God for forgiveness.

"Meds"

"The Bitter End"

"Taste in Men"
"Running up that hill"

Listen to "The Bitter End" especially.

Good Lord. I found The Bitter End right before driving down to break up with my now-ex. Listened to it at least a dozen times on the way down, and a dozen times on the way back.

edit: Also, what do you think the song's about?

If only she listened to "Taste in Men", you two would have been perfect.

And I have no idea what the song's about.

"See you at the bitter end"

I knew you'd link to a lyrics page, but is that seriously the best one you could find? It doesn't even have more than 2 of the lines at the end for crying out loud. Trust me, I've done the Google searches for the lyrics, I just haven't found any that I think match up yet.

I agree with them. The last line in the song is "see you at the bitter end". I'm listening to the song on repeat right now.

That's the site that I use for lyrics.
As far as I have seen, it is very accurate and has a lot of songs.
