Yay, I get to start working for Dr. Cooke over thxgiving break! That's gonna be fun, and very interesting.

Heh, she's gonna wipe the floor with contingency.

I have ZERO doubt about that... I am not particularly good at FPS games. I enjoy them - my favorite type of game, but still....

Of course, I don't have time to get my skills up to snuff, so I doubt there's much I can do besides play the human shield role. Ah well.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure why it does that (whitelynx may know better). But that's on the TODO list for the next release.

When that release will come, I do not know yet. But we're working on it, don't worry!

Well, welcome to the board, Teh BuNNy. Glad to have you.

And don't think we aren't looking forward to kicking YOUR you-know-whats, either! :P

Oh, but you do. Then you'll have to teach it to all of us (myself, Jon, Daniel, et al). No joke, either... :-/

I wish I didn't have to learn all that junk either.

Well, not quite - my difficulties in linear are only a symptom of the larger evil:

SCIENTIFIC F*CKING COMPUTING

Being forced to take the GRAD level of that course would result in my death by suicide. Or just plain mental breakdown.

Oh, and here's your stupid snowdrifts. Unfortunately, the massive dump of snow causes the roof on your house (or apartment) to collapse, waking you up to your blessed white Christmas with a frigid "bmmmph".

Yeah, you got me all pissy now...

I wish that this semester would be over, and I'd finally have time to relax. You have no idea how close this semester has come to finally making my mind snap. I'd prefer to hold off on enjoying that moment as the last vestige of insanity leaves me, at least till my last semester. Then I can go wild. Yay.

Oh, and to make you happy, Caenus: "screw that."

Lolly and Fearless both post, but they both say they hate you and are never coming back.

I wish that my software engineering class wasn't such busywork bullshit - I don't have time for this.

(It's formalized common sense with stick figures, boxes, and arbitrary, anal-retentive labelling for both.)

Depends on where you are. Lubbock CAN be cool at times. Right now, though, it's fricking cold. Dammit.

So you move here, and realize that it's NOT cooler, and the wind and associated dust destroys your allergies (Lubbock has BIG winds), and you get bored of bowling and going to the movies and the theatre, so you go out drinking and wake up next to some just really ugly... guy. Naked. Oy. Then the community ostracizes you (Lubbock has a much more conservative atmosphere than you're probably used to - we have... what... like 5 or 6 churches right next to each other on 1 street! We also have one of the worst STD rates in the state. Hrm...), so you have to go back to New York.

But seriously, come down and visit sometime. Get to meet a lot of the GoRC H34ds, plus your top recruiter. :D

(Anybody else have a different view of Lubbock?)

I wish it wasn't cold here.

That's not a bad idea - we have several statistics, and we can code up others as the need arises. We could likely just have a thing on the main board area that shows records - e.g., most posts total, most posts in a day, most time online, lurker award (fewest posts over the most time online), etc. I'm sure we could set it up where it automatically disqualifies at least forum admins and / or mods, since they're going to be (or should be) the most active on the forums anyways.

Check THIS out:

Needless to say, I WANT ONE. Unfortunately, I'm a broke college student, so I can't afford one.

But wouldn't Precursors look SWEET on this baby?

Well, your android does your homework, but the teacher realizes it's too good, flunks you, reports you for academic misconduct, and gets you kicked out of the uni.

I wish scientific computing wasn't the evil bitch of a class it's turned out to be.

This kind of a post is why I wanted an off-topic forum. This way we can have this forum be specific to Precursors (e.g., ideas for the game, discussion of features, etc.) without it getting overloaded by off-topic stuff.

Bug Reports / Need to fix the forums link on the main website
« on: November 12, 2005, 09:09:11 pm »
Currently, the Forums link at the top of the website doesn't point to the right place. Additionally, it takes users to the starting page (which we need to update some).

Another question: Can we get rid of the annoying second scrollbars in the posts themselves? The post box length should be the length of the post, so why do we even need another scrollbar?

I'm using Firefox - I've seen this in both Linux (using 1.0.7) and Windows (using 1.5b2).

Another thing: When people register, automatically send them an email or PM welcoming them and asking them to post in the introduction thread.

Well, congrats man! Happy Birthday.

At least have one drink for me. Nothing too strong or anything, but at least one to commemorate the event. :)

And lemme know if you're ever in Texas - we'll go and hang out or something in uber-late celebration. Hell, we'll just go and hang out for no good reason. :D
