Hahaha. I just wanted to see who would look. Yes I know the topicis stupid but like I hardly see anyone on these forums. I will try to come up with a banner so people can use when they go to other forums to advertise this game to the public.

Ya. I figured. Your probably going to use teleportation when the ship enter docking sequence or w/e it does to dock.

I dont want to seem like a copy cat but I would suggest a lot of you take a look at Darkspace and Eve Online for some reference. Eve online was done perfectly for a MMORPG. The styles of the ship and the way it was all done are great. If they still have the 30 day free trial. Give it a try and see what you think. It certainly opened my eyes to some key elements to be found in a MMORPG. Also. Think of this.

What if the hunted collected his own bounty? Like he had a partner to kill him and they would split the bounty. So someone puts a 5 mill bounty on me and I just collect it by getting a crapy ship and having my friend kill me. heh. The bounty just goes to me. :)

I am new to modeling. I kinda went overboard with the tank. I had too much fun. The tank was modeled and rendered in Rhino 3.0 Beta. The swordfish is almost finished. Its not complete in the engine area and the fuselage needs some loving. The Tracks on the tank are all done individualy. I want to animate then but I dont know how. I also need to know how to UV map. Any tutorial on how to do that in Rhino would be very nice.

Never mind about the UV tutorial. I need Deep Paint for UV mapping. I am completely new to 3D modeling. My only exposure to it was knowing how to use patch, trim, split, loft, cross sections hatch, and level 2 beams. The swordfish was done off of one picture I had of it and I had to do a lot of guessing in certain areas. Reason I didnt finish the engine was because the picture I had didnt show the engine that well.

The tank is actually a rip from the M1 Abrahms tank. I used three views in order to model this. I also did some custom stuff to it. More weapons are to be added and some textures need to be added aswell.

Yeah. You told me. The sig was ment for you since Spacecase told me you liked Cowboy Bebop. So its yours for free. I am still learning blender but I was hoping someone more experience could teach me about it. I checked out the tutorials and I am interested in a .pdf version.. Instead of having to connect to the internet for it. You got a link? Link to any beginner tutorials maybe for rhino. Since I am more comfortable around it. alright later.

Price isnt really a factor since I can get practicly get any software I want. Althought experience is a problem. Thats why I want to learn some basics and move my way through. Just Like I did with photoshop. So is k3d really something I want to learn? or do I stick to something a little more in use by mainstream 3d artist.  :)

Well. I am still learning 3D development so  can make some ships. My question is what 3D program you guys recommend? I currently am interested in using Rhinoceros. But I cant find any "good" tutorials for it. Any programs out there that are easier? and if so do you have any good tutorials for it?

Sure ;) I wasnt really trying to start a flame war. I just posted my sigs that I made. Nothing special. I dont think I am a photoshop expert :P. Although I am not learning 6 program I do have enough stress on me with some other things.

What programs you learning?

I am currently messing with
Flash MX 2004-ellegal version.
Rhinoceros (3D Nurbs program)- ellegal version.
Adobe Photoshop- E-legal
and taking some Mechanical Drawing Classes to build houses. So yeah. its fun. :D

I am giving them out for free. Its no competition. If you have something better to show then show it to us. If not... then dont say they arent good. :D

I got some that I made up for grabs. Here they are
 They are downloads in .png format. Not psd. I dont feel like releasing the .psd. I have more but I am just messing around in photoshop right now. I am trying to create some abstract effects.

For the first Sig I got off of here http://www.scifi-universe.com/upload/actualites/IGPX1.jpg which is from IGPX. The new anime on Toonami. Pretty standard and basic

Second sig is from Rei. Rei is a character off of  Neon or something Evangelist (I think thats how you spell it). I like the render personally. :)

Third is off Gundam. One of the Federations side ships. This ones pretty basic with now shadow and no attention to detail. I did it in 10 minutes by adding layer mask.

If you are new to photoshop take some tutorials on it (start making buttons). Its fun once you figure out new styles. Try google and type in good tutorials and that should take you to the "index" of photoshop tutorials. From there you can figure it out. :)
