Pennington alone won't fix the team. Miami has made several moves this offseason. I'm not going to call the Dolphins a playoff team if they get Pennington (or anyone else) but I can see them signing him.

Pennington isn't that bad. He has a reputation of being fragile but he isn't a bad QB.
I just saw this morning that they released Pennington.

What team does everyone think he will end up with?

My money is on Miami. The way it is now, it looks like Josh McCown is their starter. If not him, it's Beck or Henne. Pennington would be a good fit to start. If anything happens to him, they are back where they would be anyway with three QBs who could start.

He is a better QB than Rodgers is. The only problem is that Rodgers is the team's future and has sat on the bench for too long.

I think Green Bay would have been a better team this year if Favre had started for them. I think they are better in the long run without him.

I think he will play well in New York. I considered Favre the best QB in the league last year. He didn't have a Moss/Welker, Wayne/Harrison, or Owens on his team. He had Jennings who is a good reciever but he is NOT a Randy Moss caliber player. Assuming Favre is still in shape, the Jets look like the #2 team in the division and should compete for a wild card spot this year.

Every sport has a Brett Favre. (Roger Clemens who is finally more than likely gone, Mark Martin, Greg Norman, hell I even work with some one who does this.) These people all say that they are done or close to done and then keep going.

I love the comparison to sex by the way.

Yes, sports. I don't know what anyone's interest level is but it's worth a try.

I was skimming through a board of the newly popular game on here Quid Pro Quo and noticed that there a few people who have mentioned pro sports on there. I am a HUGE sports fan and am actually going to college for sports journalism. I figured we should have a thread to discuss the latest sports new or just sports in general.

To give us something to start with, I am a New York Yankees fan and an Oakland Raiders fan (yes, I admit to that).

Also, we all know about the Brett Favre situation. What does everyone think of it? Not sure how many have seen the latest news but he was traded to the New York Jets. I think that this is the best situation for everyone involved. Favre gets to play again, the Packers don't have to play against him and can move forward with Rodgers, and the Jets get one of the best QBs in recent years.

That post was old.
I have heard them now.
I'd love to hear them live.
Any shows coming up??

I've seen the "find x" one. I thought it was hilarious so I showed it to some people. There was another that I believe was a physics question. I don't remember exactly what it showed but I think it was a ramp and it asked something like "does the object have enough momentum to make it up the ramp?" or something like that. The person drew an elephant in front of the ramp and answered "no, there is an elephant in the way".

Well it's a good thing that none of my posts have anything to do with my password. Who gave me bad karma by trhe way?  :angryscream: lol

It can happen when you spell "the" wrong.

It's not, I just found the username and remembered the password. besides if it were that's be alot of posts to guess from.

They could just go through your 110 posts. It wouldn't take too long.

A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there.

I've heard this used slightly differently several times.
The quote I know (and use) is "you're more confused than a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat that ain't there."

I removed the racist part that is normally used for obvious reasons.

Well this doesn't match wind's post but it has to be posted.

I was walking into school the other day and as I got off the bus, Xite says "Hey, Matt (my brother) rides your bus?!?"

I didn't have to answer with any more than  because she has known us both and known we were brothers for about.... 3 years maybe?

edit: ok more like 5 years if you include before you actually met me.

Ok, I have a quote for this.

The class in our school for women's history was going on a trip to the Women's Hall Of Fame (I think that's what it's called).
My math teacher said the following about the trip.

"Nobody in my classes is to go on Garza's (the teacher for the class going on the trip) trip to women's world or whatever the hell it's called"
