That's a picture from Starcraft - those are the Terran Wraiths and a Battlecruiser, iirc.

Though I agree - it would kick all SORTS of ass if that was from Precursors. Means we'd have more done than we actually do.

I was guessing that one day precursors would look somthing more like that. seeing as how morgul couldn't get me the screen shots without the HUDs that you have now, I had to improvise.

With reason too! I was going to make a 2000 frame interactive HUD with flash but after seeing this.... Dont want to waste a few hours of work =D.

Personally (and I'm not going to be the main judge in the contest), I'd think that your time will be better spent brainstorming about other ideas and refining the ones you've already come up with. A good start will impress us more than a fancy flash animation, especially if we already don't like the style. (Note: NOT talking about anything I've seen so far - just making a general statement.) In short, I'd recommend a shotgun-theory approach: Blast out as much stuff you can in the general direction of the target, and see what's sticking. Then adjust your aim, and fire again. :)

Seriously - I wanted to head one thing off at the pass, before it became a widespread and accepted post method on these forums: The posts that look like

"i am teh coolzorz u l sux cuz i gotz teh skillz cept i cant tipe 2 safe my life cuz my skillz --" ARE SHIT! I'm sorry, but they are!

Anyways, that mindless drivel for 20 lines - the posts that look like that are not worth reading, in my opinion. That said, I'm not the grammar police, so I won't come after you for misspelling application or something trivial like that. All I'm saying is that you should post in ENGLISH.

Anyways. As far as the flash animation, just look above in the thread. I'd personally, strongly recommend that y'all not worry about doing flash animations - if you have a good idea, it will win on merits. Doing a flash animation won't make a bad design look better or a good one look like the best, so why bother with it at this point?

Haha, I wouldn't have done it if i didn't need the practice.  But I think im gonna start to move on from flash to crystal space and maby help the design team.  We shall see.
