I think this is a known bug - the version you download off the website is broken right now. We're working to fix it; it's just been a hellish semester all around, so we haven't been able to get a really working release back out there yet.
-
No, not a known bug. That version should work... It's the good one.
-
Great... now that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach is back... :(
Thanks, morgul ;)

Welcome! ;D :D Ah, the joys of being a manager. The only reason he's getting that sinking feeling is because He knows that it's a car battery, and jumpercables to each nipple if he doesn't fix it. Think of it as... quality assurance.
One day, I want my QA manager to say this:
"Thank you for reporting this bug. We will make sure to execute the poor slimeball who caused it, and then ship his family to a third world country, just for the hassle."
:D 8)
-
Forget the nipples, hook 'em up to his nuts. ;D
-
Okay, that hurts just THINKING about it.
Ugh.
-
Don't worry. I'm not mean enough to do that. However, if Dawn doesn't get a networking release to test soon...
...he might just do it. Never know, do ya? :-X
Anyway, I'm going to do some reasearch into this error, and see if anyone on the CS channel knows anything about it.
-
Yes, I just bought a new pair of jumper cables the other day now that you mention it... Although I was thinking We could do two seperate F:PLUSE +4000v / +0.006a to each ball and then shove a ground right up his aaaaa... butt.
-
so....n e one figure out the bug yet?
-
Have you tried deleting it an redownloading?
-
yea i just did it...still has bug
-
Weird, mine works just fine.
-
ialmgicd.dll appears, from my quick Google search, to be related to the OpenGL aspects of your graphics card drivers. Try updating them, reinstalling them, and (perhaps) even uninstalling them (through device manager) and reinstalling them. This *may* fix your problem. Let us know how it works out.
I found a similar error here (http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=462261&forum=46&sp=0).
-
just tried all that, did not work :-[

Wait for our next release. There have been some changes in CS, which handle talking to the videocard. This may have been fixed there. If it still persists, after out next release, we'll put a mjor priority on fixing this.

Yo! I fugured out the problem, after messing around with my graphics driver, I switched my resolution to 800x600 and changed my refresh rate to 100Hz, and it worked! Thanks to everyone who tried helping me, but I figured it out :P
-
really really weird. What was your resolution before?
-
Before my resolution was (and now changed back to) 1024x768 with a refresh rate of 85Hz.
-
I'll bet it was the refresh rate. Because my 1024x768 worked fine.
-
I bet it's his videocard's drivers not playing well with CS. Which adds up to: It was the refresh rate.
