Error when trying to start local server
Rosencrantz:
The part with multiple clients is a known issue. We're currently working on redoing the networking stuff since it's more or less not working as expected right now.
contingencyplan:
Indeed. You happen to know anything about network programming? I'm looking to work with people on the RaptorNL library. Check out its forum post and let me know.
At any rate, the overall goal is to replace Raknet with Raptor, so hopefully things like this won't be a problem.
Recon:
Nope, know almost nothing about network programming. Mostly know stuff about database. So I douth I would be much help other that suppling C code for you to laugh at :D . Not much database stuff done with C now days.
You might want to look up some of the people from this tread

They all seem to be interseted in networking for CS atm and doing work with it. Might be an idea to try get everyone working on one soultion.
Best I can offer is to keep playing around tring to make some simple stuff in CS and give lots of uninformed opions. Hopefully as spend more time using CS my skills will incress. But it's slow going, espically as I am trying to get to grips with C/C++, CS , moddeling, Blender and its conversion scripts all at the same time. All over the place in other words. ( and blender conversion is a real problem for me atm, Most moddels I make eather dont come out the same or just dont export ).
But best of look with it and I will defenatly keep watching you progress and give whatever help I can.
Regards

Personally, I prefer to be a master of a few skills rather than a jack of all trades. You might find better success if you focus on fewer things - either pick programming, and focus on *solidifying* your C++ skills (which I'll be happy to help out there - I'm GOOD with C++, and can do some stuff that borders on black magic voodoo with it. However, you have to bring your own virgins for the required sacrifices.). Then, work on getting your CS skills up to snuff (which mine admittedly are NOT). Or, pick modelling and exporting and suchnot, and master that field. Whichever one you choose, having a bit of knowledge in the other area will still be useful. But trying to master all of them, especially at the same time, probably requires too much mental context switching to be done effectively. Pick one, ace it, then try to learn a bit about the other area.
A good question to ask yourself right now: "Which do I enjoy more - programming, or modelling?" Let your conscience / insanity be your guide.
Oh, and I don't know much of anything about networking programming at this point, either. If you want to help me research it and the like, I'm still interested.
